Hi JACKIE! Good to see you! I know your furballs were very happy when Mommy came home! Pretty interesting to see it snowing in the back and raining in the front. Bet that doesn’t happen often! Oh my, you have big plans AGAIN! You don’t ever need to close your door because you go right back out it again!! A revolving door isn’t even necessary! Just leave it open! You are such a busy gal, I KNOW I could never keep up with you!! I’m a totally stay-at-home!

MARIGENE, I wish I could read a good book but I can’t stay awake for even a few pages. Reading makes me so sleepy. Even looking at magazines but the computer keeps me wide awake! I always read books in my earlier days! LOVE those orange flowers! I love the color orange too! Love Halloween!

I was in the hotel and it was raining out the front window… and snowing in the back….. the snow was coming over Lake Bellaire in the
back of the hotel…. so weird!! but cool!
one morning there was a thick cloud hanging just above the lake.
awesome…hope I can get photobucket to load so I can show youMy GAW boxes which I sent to myself arrived on Monday and I drove up to Virginia from NC on Wed (yesterday) just realized I didn’t take any photos of the contents… been too busy to play I guess.
My house in NC is shaping up nicely. I still have lots to do, but it is
a fun project.
Love it there…. and only 4 steps not 32!! which I am needing to
get used to here again… in my 3rd floor walkup condo.Getting ready for my next trip… to Garden Grove, Cal.
My sisters and I are all flying out… separately and meeting
at the John Wayne airport. We are spending a couple of extra
days on both ends of the convention to see some fun things in
LA. The John Paul Getty museum… which I went to when the
acquired Irises…. for $59 million…. in the 80s
and the Magic Castle…. my sisters have never been there.
And also the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach…. they make paintings by the masters come to life… I have been several times, but
it is awesome.
and hopefully we can get to San Diego for a day.I know… I am such a stay~at~ home!! ha!!
Queli… I hope we can set up a place and time to meet in person
at the convention….. I have not gotten a table yet, we usually just
sign up when we get there…Marie… oh no, more migraines…. I hope you are over it now!!

Queli – I love that the doll meets have all size dolls – I always liked the posablility of the Tyler dolls. I used to sew for more sizes but had to limit myself to Barbie size simply because I don’t have enough time. Love all the shoes, too!
Marigene – Your garden is looking fabulous! Are the Tru Blood books interesting? I keep meaning to read The Hunger Game series but I need to find more time in a day!

Marigene – Our lilacs are finally blooming – I’ll have to get some photos with the dolls. Always love to see Mood Matchers! I think Mattel doesn’t bother with the hair if it is going to be under a hat – they did the same bad job with the Poodle Parade repro. Hope you keep healthy!
Queli – It looks like you had another great doll meeting – what a great theme! The food looks pretty tasty, too! I like the medieval look of Merida – haven’t seen the film yet.
Marie – I cleaned house yesterday but I didn’t find any M&Ms! That pizza is making me hungry — I haven’t had pizza in ages – hmm, now I might have to order some! Remember when Stinky visited and got roped into doing the cleaning! Lol! Hope your headache eventually went away.

My dolls have been busy cleaning house! They had a lot to clean so there are a lot of photos!!
Every Saturday the girls do their weekly household chores.
Abby vacuums and dusts the bedrooms . . .
. . . and cleans the windows.
Melanie gathers the laundry and brings it to the laundry room . . .
‘Whew! The laundry never seems to end!’ she thinks to herself as she takes a well-deserved break from the laundry and sits down for a nice cold glass of ice tea.
Allison vacuums the living room sofa . . .
. . . and the sitting room sofa.
“What’s this?” she says looking in the crack of the sofa.
Laughing out loud, she finds a bag of M&Ms.
“I bet these are Abby’s. She’s such a chocoholic!
She loves to come down here and munch on chocolate in peace and quiet and privacy.”
Allison decides she needs a break so she sits down and finishes the bag of M&Ms.
“Break’s over,” she says.
“Back to vacuuming.”
Later that evening the girls decide pizza delivery is perfect after a long day of house cleaning!

we had a club banquet yesterday..only 6 ladies showed up..3 of them have had cancer treatments in the last year..and 2 of them have lost their hubbies to cancer in that time..Our club is dying off..

LOL cinco de mayo was a busy day and brenda had a “girls only” fiesta and slumber party at her place. her roommate, padme’ and friend, kyoko, did all the cooking. lots of good food! lots of pictures to follow… they goofed off for awhile and settled in to watch a movie. some of the girls fell asleep!

Evening All!It is finally nice enough outside for a photo shoot! I took this yesterday and today it is pouring rain – but it will finally bring the lilacs out!
I have been missing because I have been working on Ebay stuff, hanging out with Hilda’s mother since her sister was out of town, running errands, etc – nothing really exciting although Hilda’s mother and I watched some good DVDs and had great food!Robin says to tell everyone she misses everyone and misses posting here but is going to post on ITP since it is difficult to keep up with lots of doll boards. She sends hugs!
Marie – I LOVE the Carpenters!! What a fabulous video – she looks like some of the 70s Barbies – those Best Buy outfits! So sad she died – what a voice she had! And so sad that she had an eating disorder!

LOVE LOVE this song. Karen is only 21 years old in this video. She died 12 short years later at the very young age of 32.
What an amazing voice she had. Her brother played the piano wonderfully! I loved the Carpenter’s growing up and still do.
OMG, her peasant dress is amazing! She wore peasant dresses a lot when performing. Love them!
